Gotta go!
April 9th, 2006 @ 8.48 pm
Throughout March and April I’ve been going all over the place for work. Some of it has been for training courses, and some has been for on the job training to see what my colleagues are doing and how they do it. Up to this point, I have worked for the company for 33 work days, and have spent 18 of those on the road, and all of them for including one to four nights in a hotel. Wowser! Every time I’m going somewhere I’m reminded of Steve from L2M who also did lots of traveling. One phrase he’d often say as he ran out the door to fly somewhere was “Gotta Go!,” and so I often think of that phrase, though I have yet to actually use it.
Last week I spent three days near Princeton, NJ helping with working out bugs in a new large spray dryer (don’t worry if you don’t know what that is) as they are working on getting it operational. Tomorrow morning I’m jumping on a plane and heading to Indianapolis, IN for a few days with a coworker to recalibrate a bunch of things on some more spray dryers.
Where will I be headed next? Who knows! Most of my travels will keep me on the east coast, but I’ll likely go to Canada some time, I’ll definately go to Puerto Rico at some point, and probably to the midwest and west coast eventually. Some day I may even go to Europe!
