Still waiting . . .

October 23rd, 2006 @ 8.15 am

At the beginning of the month I moved into a new place. Living with Tom was fine, but him and Rebecca are getting married and were looking to shed a few roommates. So, I found that Chris Dipompeo was moving to Philly to attend law school, but wanted to keep the condo him and Cara owned by renting it out. Things worked out well in the timing of things, and I now live two miles from work. So give me a call sometime and come on over to hang out or whatever.

The waiting part is thanks to Cavalier telephone. I called them on September 20th to get local telephone and DSL service going, hopefully not too long after I moved in. The phone service started to work on Oct 2nd, and the DSL service … hasn’t yet. They’ve lied to me several times saying everything should be working and I’ll get the modem in a day or two, starting with my first call on Oct 2nd. I finally got the modem on Oct 21st, after I had to go to FedEx in Dundalk to pick it up because they will only deliver to my door while I’m at work, and won’t leave it on the door step. Will I get service today like they promised on Saturday? Or will it be another month? Anyone have a good provider they like that I can switch to/ get service from?
