I am blessed

This Christmas Beverly and I were able to spend Christmas with nearly every relative both of us have together, which has meant for a long weekend. First, on Saturday we went to her parents house for Christmas with her dad’s side of the family, then on Sunday it was most of the day at my parents house where we saw my whole family (less an aunt and uncle in Texas, and my cousin and his wife). Then, around 5pm we headed down to Arnold again for the Christmas Eve service at her church (BEP), and then back to her parent’s house to open presents for just the six of us (yes, I was included with them). Finally, on the third day of Christmas (today, the 25th) I went back to Beverly’s house to celebrate with her mom’s side of the family. It has been a long three days just in the time spent with families and amount of driving, but I am very blessed to have so much of a wonderful family to spend time with.
I know I’m not the biggest on giving gifts, and rarely have an idea for something that someone can give me, but somehow everyone seemed to shower me with wonderful gifts. It seemed everyone had a good idea of something for either myself or for the two of us to share. At the end of the day yesterday I very taken with how much love Beverly’s family has shown me, and I am very thankful to have them and Beverly in my life.
