Snow? Maybe? Please?

A year or so ago I predicted that we’d get a lot of snow this winter. (Really Long Range Snow Forecast). So far, I’ve been dead wrong. So far we’ve had a total of 8.35″ of snow according to RelayWeather.com. The largest snowfall was 5″ back in December, which was a nice start, but there hasn’t been any follow up. I’m tired of the news saying there’s a chance of some snow in the forecast when all it amounts to is an inch or less. That’s not snow! I wan’t at least a foot, and 18″ would be great. Something that closes work and makes driving impossible (or really fun, depending on how much of a challenge you like).
In other griping, I’m ready for some warm air and daylight until 8pm. If it’s not going to snow, why have cold weather? If you’ve been watching my photo-a-day gallery, most of the pictures are some random thing inside the condo here because it’s dark and boring outside. I’ve been wanting to go outside after work and ride my bike, but it’s a) cold, and b) likely raining/ about to rain. I have been fairly good about doing push ups and sit ups inside on a regular basis, but cardiovascular exercise is tough when you have downstairs neighbors that would probably complain if I took up jump rope or indoor basketball.
I don’t want to go running because I decided (about a year ago) that the few times I do run, it’s simply doing damage to my knees due to my poor form and little help to my cardiovascular health. Yes, I did run Cross Country and Track for three years in high school, but I was only mediocre. I really enjoy mountain biking, and so I’d like to go riding often… but I only rode a couple times in 2007. Maybe I’ll find time to ride more in 2008? Either way, I really do need some exercise. I’ve slowly put on a couple pounds every year, and I’d really like to feel like I’m the young 25 year old that I am. Maybe I should stop blogging and go work out some?
