Still waiting . . .

October 23rd, 2006 @ 8.15 am

At the beginning of the month I moved into a new place. Living with Tom was fine, but him and Rebecca are getting married and were looking to shed a few roommates. So, I found that Chris Dipompeo was moving to Philly to attend law school, but wanted to keep the condo him and Cara owned by renting it out. Things worked out well in the timing of things, and I now live two miles from work. So give me a call sometime and come on over to hang out or whatever.

The waiting part is thanks to Cavalier telephone. I called them on September 20th to get local telephone and DSL service going, hopefully not too long after I moved in. The phone service started to work on Oct 2nd, and the DSL service … hasn’t yet. Read the rest of this entry »

Women’s Rookie Tournament

September 24th, 2006 @ 10.26 pm

On Saturday I tagged along with Beverly and the rest of the UMBC Women’s Ultimate team as they attended a one day rookie tournament hosted by Maryland at their campus in College Park. I’ll cut to the chase, so if you don’t want to keep reading, the pictures are at http://www.jeremyweber.com/gallery/womensrookietourney. For a while I was the only male on the fields, until another guy showed up for one of the other teams. In total, I believe I saw three guys, including myself, within the fenced in region of the fields. Read the rest of this entry »

Bad VW, Don’t leak on the floor

September 22nd, 2006 @ 9.40 am

Brake fluid under the VWYesterday I stopped by the house to pick up the VW and drive it around for the weekend.  Well, it’s a good thing my dad pointed out the mess the VW left on the floor.  Under the front end there’s a small puddle of brake fluid on the floor, and none in the reservior.  So, rather than enjoy driving the car on such a beautiful, crisp, fall day I had to jack up the front end and climb under it.  Read the rest of this entry »

On the run…

September 6th, 2006 @ 8.13 pm

I’m sure if you’re one of the three people that read this (Beverly, you and myself) you’ve noticed I haven’t posted since the middle of last month. Well, I’ve been busy, so deal with it. Really, I have been! For work I was in Chicago in the beginning of the month, then I went to Puerto Rico for four days, had a week in the office, then took three days and a weekend of vacation. After getting back to work for a day and a half, I was on the plane to Denver for another trip, got back at 1am late Friday night to kick off the holiday weekend, and left Tuesday morning an hour earlier than normal as I drove up to Newark Deleware for another business trip. Add on top of all this go some attempted wedding planning. In total I out of town for a total of fifteen days in August just for work and vacation. Read the rest of this entry »

Summer cruise in fun

August 16th, 2006 @ 12.32 am

For only the second time this summer I had the opportunity to drive over to the local cruise in at Home Depot in Eldersburg. With such wonderful weather, the turnout was fairly large with a good selection of cars. For a while I was the only German car, and one of two imports (the other being a Datsun 240Z), but eventually three Porsche 911’s showed up (seperately). The VW ran great as my dad and I cruised over, and I had a great time walking around and snapping a few photos (see the gallery for the new album). Read the rest of this entry »
