Wanted: Room/ Roommate

July 17th, 2006 @ 11.29 pm

Although I just moved into the place I’m staying at this past March, I am already looking for a new place to hang my hat (that I so infrequently wear). My current landlord Tom just got engaged and after the wedding in late fall they plan to live here… and thus I am “getting kicked out” (in a kind way).
I currently work in Columbia (near the intersection of 29 and 100), and would prefer a half hour or less commute to there, but otherwise am flexible. I would prefer to live with 1-2 other guys so I’m not spending all my money on rent, but so far have only a lead on a place to stay very close to where I work. If you know of a guy looking for a new roommate, or a place to stay, send them my way and maybe we can work something out.

Pictures, pictures, and more pictures

July 16th, 2006 @ 5.29 pm

I just finished the final touches on the pictures from the Mingle Over Maryland tournament and uploaded them to the gallery. Now, I still have pictures from the fireworks on the 4th to work on, and now a bunch that I took at Donnie and Melanie’s wedding last night that I’ll try to get online as well. If only sorting, editing, and uploading the pictures was as easy as shooting them. Oh well, I can’t complain. I enjoy taking the pictures so I can share them with ya’ll.

Speaking of sharing pictures, if anyone wants any picture full size (or any size), just ask. I may be able to print it out, or give you the full size version, or we can have it printed, etc. Read the rest of this entry »

what a weekend

July 10th, 2006 @ 7.35 am

This past weekend Beverly and I played with a bunch of mostly UMBC’ers in the first Mingle Over Maryland tournament hosted by Mingle Over Muffins (MOM). On the first day we started out losing to Bond, then played SOBO for our first victory, had a long break where many of us ate lunch, then played a close game where we ended up losing to MOM, and then finally ended the day with a big comeback push beating Fission. That left us at 2-2 for the day.  Sunday we started off losing to Mothers (I think that’s who it was), then beat Mothership Connection (no connection to Mothers), and finally lost in the Chumpionship game to MOM in a game to the high score of seven. I took some pictures (along with Beverly and one by Tom Petitt using my camera), and I’ll try to get some online within a week, so stay tuned to your favorite bat channel. Out of shape is still a shape

June 22nd, 2006 @ 7.57 pm

This afternoon after work I took the opportunity to ride into Potapsco State Park for about an hour. It’s great living so close, I just ride about a mile uphill and then I’m at the Rolling Rd entrance to the park. The ride I did is tough to call a mt bike ride because I spent so much time on pavement due to riding to the park, dropping in and riding a couple trails to get to the main paved path along the river, then riding that to the swinging bridge and then along the road towards the park entrance. I then rode back towards the fishing pond via a semi-flat trail, and then up and out of the park and back to the townhouse. Read the rest of this entry »

Greetings from England!

June 14th, 2006 @ 1.49 pm

What?  Jeremy’s in England now?  Yes, that’s right.  Last month I went down to Puerto Rico, and now I’m in Birmingham, England until tomorrow.  It’s been a neat experience being over on this side of the pond.  The flight over wasn’t too bad, though it was 7 hours long and I basically lost a night’s sleep due to it (overnight flight and a 5 hour time change… it’s 6:45pm here now, 1:45pm in B-more).  We flew into Heathrow and had a chauffer company pick us up and take us up to Birmingham a good hour North of London. PR pictures and other stuff

May 31st, 2006 @ 10.59 pm

First, I have gone through my pictures from Puerto Rico and put the best 37 in the gallery.

Next, this past weekend was a bunch of fun. On Saturday I went home to work on my bike and VW, and even stopped by a local car show. Later that day Beverly and I went down to E-town and stopped by Katie Laskowski’s for a few moments at her graduation party (she used to be my next door neighbor), and then went over to Jared Nave’s to celebrate his 21st birthday. Sunday I didn’t do much, but on Monday I finally took Beverly kayaking. Read the rest of this entry »
