We’re Married!

July 29th, 2007 @ 12.00 pm

As of July 28, 2007, Beverly and I are now man and wife! We were married in front of our 180 closest friends and family (who knew there were so many?) in Annapolis. After partying for the rest of the day, we’ve headed off on our honeymoon to the sunshine state of Florida. We’re relaxing on the beach at Palm Beach for the first week, and then spending a few days over on the Gulf of Mexico side on Sanibel Island.  We’ll see you when we get back!

Wedding Information

July 9th, 2007 @ 8.49 am

The wedding is less than three weeks away! We’ve got most things planned out, and are working out the details. I’d say we’re farther along than most couples at this point, though we’re not finished yet. When we sent out all of the invitations there was an included map to get to the church and the reception, though we never actually mentioned the reception on the invitation. Oops! Also, I’m told many people did not realize we included a website address on the other side of that map that gives everyone some more information about the wedding, as well as lets everyone know where we’re registered. If you could only remember the www.jeremyweber.com part, or if you didn’t even know about the url address and stumbled to here anyway, the wedding website is at www.jeremyweber.com/wedding.

Poll: Door open, or closed?

June 14th, 2007 @ 2.46 pm

Many of you have noticed that I haven’t been around much this month, and it’s because I’ve been in Belgium since the 3rd on yet another business trip. (OK, I know no one really noticed… but I like to stay delusional) In the time I’ve spent here I’ve been staying in a hotel room trying not to be too bored after work in the evenings. One thing I’ve pondered is whether or not people close the bathroom door when it’s just them. I know I feel weird if I don’t close the bathroom door, even though there’s no one in the rest of the hotel room. So how about you? When you’re in a hotel by yourself/ home by yourself, do you close the bathroom door, or leave it wide open?

Account Inactive

June 9th, 2007 @ 12.22 pm

A few months ago I gave a warning that UMBC was taking away my account, and the date they said came and went… but today they kept their word. So, if try to email me at my UMBC account, you may get an auto reply, but you definitely won’t get a reply from me. I cannot login anymore, and when I go to the webpage I had on there, it tells me the account is inactive. To contact me now, please use jeremy@jeremyweber.com, which will remain active as long as you can find this website, and as long as I keep paying the bill.

Maddness that was Memorial Day Weekend

May 30th, 2007 @ 11.12 pm

When I think of Memorial Day, I think of BBQ’s and relaxing in the back yard. Well, I did have some grilled food, but in other’s back yards. First, Beverly graduated on Thursday (Congratulations Beverly! Pictures are in the gallery), and that in turn led to graduation parties. But before them, I had Friday to get through. I went to my parents house with plans to do some tweaking to the VW and wash it, but instead my grandfather hurt himself and then drove to Walter Reed’s ER. So, my mom and I went down there, spent some time with him, and then drove him home. Turns out he bruised his chest and dislocated his little finger, so a bit painful, but nothing too serious. Life at 200mph

May 15th, 2007 @ 10.11 pm

Well, I haven’t been quite driving 200mph. But I was flying at over 500mph for hours on end last week. Since I last posted anything life’s felt like it’s going 200mph. Beverly and I have been working on lot’s of wedding planning (not fast enough for everyone, but we’re doing our best), I’ve spent time working on the VW, my softball team has been losing, and I even spent a week in England.

The month started off with me finishing off reinstalling my VW’s engine with a new oil cooler and no pesky tarboard insulation, then driving it all weekend the 5th and 6th. Then on the 7th I flew to England to do a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for the big project I’ve been working on at work. Last year when I went over we were chauffeured around, but this time I got a “hire car” (ie, rental) and drove myself! I did cheat and get an automatic (uncommon over there), but I can already drive stick so I’m still proud of myself. The trip ended with a quick visit to London and a flight back on Friday.
